Short Update

Sorry that I haven't really been posting or making any comments.  I just haven't really been reading and I am not getting any writing done either.

Nameless = 4,891 / 20,000 goal for September

I found out that my friend isn't expected to last until Christmas, that would be a miracle.  I've been pretty down lately, but I've been writing a letter that I would like to read to him sometime soon.  I've got no motivation for doing any of my course work and I've been stuck on my two creative writing pieces.  Hopefully I can get them done before they are due on Friday.

The only really good thing that is coming from this is that I wanna play the piano again.  I took lessons for eight years, though I'm not really that good.  I've been practicing the song from "The Last Song".  It's a beautiful and moving piece, but it's a little difficult and I'm trying hard.  "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite books by him.  The movie lacks a lot, but I don't mind it.  I love the relationship that Nicholas Sparks paints between a father and his daughter.  If you haven't read it, I recommend it. This is the song that I'm learning.

I hope that your writing endeavors are going well.

  1. I am sorry you are down. Losing someone close to you is never easy. I believe in life after death and I have always taken a small measure of comfort from that. But I stuggled with understanding why it was still so painful.

    Then one day in church I learned this: We sorrow when people die because we love them.In order to remove the pain we would have to remove the love.

    This helped me realize that the sorrow of loss was not at lack of faith. It was a result of losing someone to which you have a bond with.

  2. I'm so sorry about your friend.

    I've left an award over at my blog for you.

  3. Out of sadness, inspiration can occur. I'm praying for a steady smile through the thick of it and hope to add to Catherine's award love as I've got one at my blog as well.

  4. Best of luck during this hard time. <3

  5. I like the book far better the movie as well. I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. It's hard in times like this to know the right thing to say but just let your writing come from the heart and I'm sure they will be forever grateful.

  6. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. *hugs*

    And that song is beautiful.

  7. @Krista - Thank you. I really like what you said about sorrowing. I would rather feel the pain than remove the love. Thank you.

    @Catherine - Thank you and thanks for the award.

    @Angela - Thanks for the award love!

    @Kelley- Thank you.

    @Jen - The book is far better than the movie and thank you. It's hard to do any writing right now, but I'm trying to be positive. It makes me really love that I'm healthy.

    @CherylAnne - Thank you, I really needed a hug. I love that song, though it's a little hard to play on the piano... I'm trying.

    Thanks to all of you. I'm doing better this week and I'll try to get back into writing. Your prayers are very much appreciated.
