Q is for Quilt

Q for Quilt!

Along with cross-stitching, I also have made a quilt. :)

This is made from leftover fabric scraps :)
The back side (sorry, picture wouldn't rotate)

Though this isn't quite a quilt - I made this blanket for my cousin's little guy, Blake.

I gave it to him at the baby shower
And though I haven't had time to start this one yet, here is the fabric that I am going to use for my new quilt that will be a gift for a friend. :)

A beautiful and colorful quilt someday!
I love quilts! :)

  3. Okay... you are talented! I love quilts but I absolutely suck at sewing! Don't get me wrong... I try... but it just doesn't happen. Yours are beautiful. I may have to hire you! :)

    1. *Blushes* Thanks Leigh! I'm not perfect through, the first few times I used the quilt - I didn't realize that I had sewn to close to the edge and... a lost a few seams. They are together now, but it looks like the blanket has a few scars. It gives it character. Thanks again!

    1. Thanks Susan! :) I wish I had more time to quilt too, but I was very productive tonight. I cut out 95 squares from the new fabric for the new quilt. You'll have to put up pictures of yours when you finish!

  6. So pretty! I'd love to learn to quilt but am stopped by the whole - no-idea-how-to-sew problem.

    1. I would love to know how to make a quilt out of old t-shirts! I have a box in my closet full of old t-shirts I would like to make into a quilt, but I haven't had the chance yet.
