V is for Voice

An author's voice is unique and needs to be strong.  Everyone's written voice should be different and there's many ---

Nah, who are we kidding?  :)

I'm talking about "You're the Voice" sung by John Farnham.  My favorite 80's power ballad.  Great for dancing or singing loudly in the car! :)

You gotta love Colin Morgan and Bradley James from BBC's Merlin, who play Merlin and Prince Arthur.

In all honestly, I love the lyrics to the song;

We have the chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older

We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

You're the voice, try and understand it
Make the noise and make it clear, oh, woah
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear, oh, woah

This time, we know we all can stand together
With the power to be powerful
Believing we can make it better

Ooh, we're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son, oh
Give a look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun

You're the voice, try and understand it
Make the noise and make it clear, oh, woah
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear, oh, woah    (lyrics continued here)

Great song!  And Colin and Bradley - love them!  (And Colin's thick Irish accent.)  :D

  5. Agree lots of different voices on the a-Z. It's incredible how different people are... iIlove the fact that with great writers you can tell who is writing quite often.

My fave book also to Kill a Mockingbird! Have you read the Miracle Life of Edgar Mint? Brady Udall. I think you'd enjoy it.
