The Next Big Thing!

I've been tagged in "The Next Big Thing" by Laura, over at her adorable blog, My Baffling Brain.  You should definitely check it out! :)

It involves answering questions about my latest project, so yay! :)

What is the working title of your book?
"Unless" - it is the companion novel to my book, "Nameless" - can you see I have a less theme?

Where did the idea come from?
Um, I'm not sure where the initial idea came from, other than it is the second book.  I've always loved fantasy and I though I would try my hand at writing an idea.  Oo, wait!  It had to do with the holocaust.  That's a strange sentence, but I had a random thought about a world where children were hunted, this was after someone asked me my favorite period of history which is the 1940s because of the rich history of WWII and the holocaust.  It's a tragedy and an interesting time to learn about.  So much happened then!

What genre does your book fall under?
It falls under Young Adult Fantasy.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
Oo, that's a tough one!  I might have Emma Watson (Hermoine from Harry Potter) play my MC, Princess Dalia.  Edom would be played by possibly Josh Hutcherson (Peeta from the Hunger Games) and I would LOVE to have Stanley Tucci play Achieus, the captain of the Guard.

What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?
Princess Dalia has given up everything and become a traitor to her country, but nothing could prepare her for the war on the horizon and the heartache death brings.

Will your books be self-published or represented by an agency?
It's too soon to tell.  Right now, I could toss a coin.  I'd love to find my book in a library, but I'm leaning towards self-publishing. :)  It depends on the day you ask me.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
It isn't complete yet.  I'm almost half-way finished with the first draft.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?
I kinda already answered that one, but my sister inspired me to write initially.  She used to leave hand-written stories in her notebook on the bathroom floor and I would read them.  I was the little sister, so of course I wanted to be like my big sis.  I fell in love with writing after that. :)

What else about your book would pique the reader's interests?
Dalia kicks butt, literally and she's turns from a spoiled to a princess to someone who fights for what they believe in.  I think it's pretty awesome. :)

Now, I am tagging five friends to participate in this awesome little meme!
