January Goals

Welcome to 2013!  Hopefully it will be a year filled with more writing and reading for everyone! :)  I personally plan on doing a lot of reading and writing.  Every month I share my goals for the month and write a short update on what I did last month for goals.  Time for a new year and new monthly goals!

Here are my goals from December:
* Write 10,000 words on my novel "Unless"
My word count at the start of December was 37,182.  My current word count is 47,232 words!  I made it.  I am really getting closer to the ending of this novel!

* Work on some plot revisions for "Nameless" from my critique partner
I did not get a chance to work on this one - the holidays kept me pretty busy!

* Read "Holiday Fling" by Victoria H. Smith
A great read for Christmas!  I will be posting my review in a few days!

* Finish making two blankets for my co-workers' daughters before Christmas

Two completed, adorable blankets!
Overall it was a productive and busy month!

Goals for January:
* Write the last 5,000 words of "Unless"
I am so close to finishing this novel!  I have about two chapters and the epilogue left, so I really am hoping to finish this month!  I may even finish in the next few days!

* Work on plot revisions for "Nameless" from my critique partner

* Finish making cute pig cross-stitch bib

* Finally finish reading "Insurgent" by Veronica Roth
I keep getting distracted and then loosing my book!  I definitely need to finish it this time!

What are your goals for January?  How did your goals from December go?  Have a great first day of 2013!

  5. My goal for this month is to finish up my book as well, get it edited and find a book cover designer. I'm also going to make more of an effort to blog everyday or at least five days a week and interact with other writers, bloggers and readers more. Networking is definitely where it's at. Plus, I'm looking forward to meeting some really cool people this year!
