It’s a very special post today! Today I am interviewing Christine Rains to celebrate her book, “1304 – The Harbinger” (13th Floor Series #4). Congratulations Christine! Today is the official release day and the first day of The Harbinger Blog Tour! I am so excited for Christine to join me today!
In honor of your book I’d like to ask you six fun questions!
Question 1: Who is your favorite author and why?
It's difficult to choose just
one, but I've been a long time fan of Stephen King. I picked up CUJO when I was
ten, and I was hooked. He could chill me to the bone when no other author
could. His world building and characterization is incredible.
Question 2: What is your deepest, darkest secret? Wait… that might be a little too
personal. Do you like chocolate or
vanilla better?
Chocolate, definitely. Still
want a secret? I have chocolate covered raisins hidden in my desk right now.
Shhh. Don't let the boy know!
Question 3: How did you come up with the idea for the 13th
floor series?
I love playing around with
possibilities and thinking about myths and superstitions. There still are
buildings out there with no 13th floor. Funny how our modern world
is still so superstitious. But what if there's a good reason for the
superstition? What would a 13th floor be like? Who would live there?
Thus the idea for my series was born.
Question 4: Which character speaks the loudest to
you? Does one clamber to be heard above
the others?
Stefanie was really loud when I
was writing The Alpha. It was easy to write her story compared to Marc
from The Marquis who didn't want to talk at all.
Question 5: Which is your favorite of the 13th
floor books? Is it one we haven’t read
yet?
Harriet the banshee. She'll be
the protagonist in the fifth book. She's such a sweet young woman, but cursed
with visions and to be a raving crone at night. She's also in love with next
door neighbor who happens to be a vampire with a drug addiction. Nothing ever
seems to go right for poor Harriet.
Question 6: (Pretend you aren’t married for this
one.) If you could make-out with one of
your male characters in the 13th floor series, who would it be?
Oh, this is tough. It would be
either James (The Alpha) or Xan (The Dragonslayer). James has the
sexy geek thing going on while Xan is a hot modern day knight.
Thank you for hosting me today.
This was so much fun! Especially now that I'm imagining making out with some of
my characters!
Thanks so much for coming on my blog, Christine, and I wish you the best
of luck with your new book! I’m off to
go buy it and read until I’m finished! I
won’t put it down! :)
