March Goals

Is it just me or did February seem to drag on and feel long, even though it is the shortest month of the year?  I think it did, but it might have been the nine inches of snow we received last week.  We've had a ton of snow this year and I'm not the biggest fan of snow.  Seriously, here's a picture of my car buried in snow from our first snowstorm this year.
Dude... where's my car?
Anyway, winter is almost over and so is February.  Spring will come and it's March!  Time for an update on goals!!

Here are my goals from February:
* Do a full read-though of "Nameless"
I did not get to this one this month.  I spent most of my time working on revisions for "Defiance" and doing a ton of reading this month!

* Pre-blog posts for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge
I'm hoping for complete all of my posts before April 1st.  I managed to complete 7 letters during the month of February.  Getting closer!

* Find critique partners for "Defiance"
Done!  I didn't expect to find any and I found 3 wonderful partners!  I also found quite a few people to help beta read when I'm ready. :)  Super excited!!

* Write to 5,000 words on Project K
My current word count is 5,461 words.  I haven't said much about this novel yet, which I'm hoping will be a novella and published late this year or early next year.  As a little preview, my main character's name is Lainey and she falls in love with Jon, who happens to be the merman who saved her life. :)  Very excited for this story!

Love Jeremy Renner... :)
I completed three out of four goals last month!  I'd say that is still an accomplishment, not as good as January when I completed all four.  It was a shorter month; that's my excuse.  I also spent a lot of my free time reading. :)

Goals for March:
* Finish revisions of "Defiance"
Revise the ending and add another two chapters.  Do another read-through!

* Complete revisions of query for "Defiance"
Quit being a pansy and send off my query to at least ten agents.

* Pre-post the rest of my entries for the April A-Z Blogging Challenge
I have 19 to post, so hopefully I can finish all of them this month!!

* Purchase "Les Miserables" on DVD on March 22nd
Super excited for the release of this movie!  I was thinking it wouldn't come out until summer.  I have seriously been listening to the soundtrack in my car since Christmas.  I can't wait to own this beautiful masterpiece!

How did your goals from February go?  What are your goals for March?  Did you see "Les Miserables" and love it?

  1. All those sound very doable, good luck and I look be looking forward to seeing those A to Z posts :)

  2. Whoa! That's a lot of snow.. and it looks like the heavy stuff! I am so looking forward to Spring and around here, it definitely looks like it's around the corner!
I am hoping to purchase the Les Mis DVD as well. I really enjoyed the movie! Love the new look of your blog, by the way!

    1. It is the heavy stuff! Also, I just found out we might get another 6 to 10 on Tuesday. Will winter ever end?

I'm very excited for the DVD. I heard a rumor they will be releasing a complete cast soundtrack sometime this month.

      Thanks! I like it too!

  3. It totally did drag on (ugh, the snow!), except when it came to how much I wanted to get done. Then it was definitely too short.

I think you did great. Good luck with the querying and A to Z posts. Sounds tough!

    1. February was never gonna end - this is much better! I had too much to do too.

Thanks! It should be tough, but totally worth it. :)

  4. Good luck with your March goals. I know you'll do great!

I need to get going on my A to Z posts. I don't even have a theme yet...

    1. Thanks Dana! :)

I just thought of my theme - you can do it!

  5. You sound super organised to me! Keep it up!

    1. Lol, just don't see my room - it's not very organized... I like being writing organized! :)

  6. Awesome goals for the month. You can do it! :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one; February seemed to go on forever for me.

I cannot believe how much snow that is! I cannot stand cold weather. :( stay warm!

    1. Thanks! :)

I'm glad February is over, though it appears the snow isn't. We are supposed to get hit with another 6 to 10 inches this week. *sigh*

  7. February did seem long. I'd have cursed it more without our garage I am sure! I did not see les mis, having seen the play twice I was just not inspired as I should have been.

    1. Lol, digging out of the snow is the worst! I wish I had a garage, but oh well. I wish I could have seen the play live! The movie is as close as I'll probably get. :)

  8. Over here we're heading into Autumn and I can't wait!!
