R is for Red Dwarf

(One of my favorite posts of the entire A-Z challenge - hope you like it!)

A seriously under-appreciated Sci-fi, which began in 1988.  The last human alive and his three friends stranded three million miles from Earth travel in the mining ship Red Dwarf.  One of the classic BBC addiction shows.  I've almost seen all of the original and I love them.  There's so much humor and it's clean humor most of the time!  They use "smeg" for curse words; smegging, smeg, smeghead, etc.  It's awesome!

Here's a clip to entice you:

LOVE THEM!!

And another:  (this one is for the ladies)

Have you ever see "Red Dwarf" and fallen for it's awesomeness?

I wrote 137 words yesterday.  Honestly, with only 7k to go, I'm still not sure how this is going to end or how I can fix a major plot hole right now.  I'm hoping to write 5k today - wish me luck! :)

  1. You can totally get 5k today. I have the faith! :-)

And, sadly, I've never seen Red Dwarf, although given the general love I seem to have for BBC shows, I should probably put it on the list.

Good luck on your Camp NaNo project! You're so close!!

  4. I used to watch this -all- the time and you're right....classic BBC. I've heard they have a remake or 'update' in the works.

  5. Red Dwarf is one of my absolute favorite shows. I rewatch it every once in a while marathon style just to lose myself in the fantastic one-liners.

Also best of luck with your word-count goal. You can do it!

  6. I used to love Red Dwarf. Imagine how delighted I was when my wife found it on Netflix. Smeghead - remember Lister trying to override Kryten's programming to call Rimmer a smeghead?
