S is for Steve Rogers

Steve Rogers (Captain America) is my all-time favorite member of the Avengers.  He was a frail young man with little to nothing, but he's dedicated to fight.  Steve was given a chance to change and he takes it, becoming a super-solider.  But with his strength, Steve doesn't become a dick.  His heart remains steady.  He is loyal, brave, and has a heart of kindness.  Seriously, my favorite.  Even if he's not everyone's favorite, he is mine.  (As a side note, I'm a big fan of Hawkeye too.)  Also, that butt.  I'm not a butt gal, but it is beautiful.

If anyone finds a single man (preferably one closer to my age), who is a real life Captain America - please let me know. :)

I love a man in uniform. :)

Seriously, I love his butt. :)

With a little Hawkeye on the side.
Who is your favorite Avenger?  Do you like Captain America?

Camp NaNoWriMo Update:                                (because I'm crazy and doing the A-Z and Nano!)
YA/NA Urban Fantasy

Day Twenty:
Day Twenty-One:

Words Remaining:
I wrote 3,687 words this weekend.  Honestly, so ready to be done!  Doing the A-Z and Camp NaNo at the same time is completely crazy and I will not do both at the same time again.  I'm tired of writing this novel.  I love my characters, but this plot did not go the way I wanted it to.

  1. I think the movies (Captain America, The Avengers) did a great job of capturing the character's personality from the comic books.

He is (literally and figuratively) a man out of his time. Always playing 'catchup', yet still holding true to his matter how antiquated they may seem.

My favorite too (though not for the butt) :)

  2. They couldn't have picked a better actor for Steve, either. :)

  3. I confess that I've never seen The Avengers. I know, I know.

But I commend you for A-Z'ing and Camp Nano'ing at the same time! I skipped out on camp this time around b/c I didn't think I could keep up. Kudos to you!

    Happy Writing!

  4. Less than 4k to go!! That's fantastic! (I'm right at 21k myself, but I'm hoping to finish by the end of this week.)

And Captain America was not my favorite Avenger (that would have been Vision)...until I saw the movies. I was so impressed with Captain America and Chris Evans did such a good job playing him that now Steve Rogers is tied with Iron Man as my favorite from that group.

  5. Wow! I'm impressed you even tried to NANO and A to Z in the same month - you'll sleep through May. Maybe, once the pressure is less intense you can find the path through your plot.
I enjoyed the new Captain America but Iron Man has the strong relationship hook I need to keep me watching through the action.

  6. Hulk! He won me with his killer line after beating up Loki. ^_^

On hotness ... that movie was just full of hotness ...

Congrats on the 3,555 words. Not far to go now!

  7. I love that Captain America. I also love Thor, though, And Iron Man. And Hawkeye. The Avengers did such a good job of making you love each of them at different points!

    Allison (Geek Banter)

  8. Live and die (in his arms) with Iron Man (Tony Stark). But, love the Avengers as a whole. Best ensemble cast ever. Great post.

  9. Congrats on your Camp NaNo progress! I love Captain America -- he is such a representation of the little guy making it in America. Great S.
