U is for Umbridge

Yep, I admit it.  I wanted her dead more than Voldemort for a good part of the book.  Didn't happen.  Darn.

Anyway, Umbridge is a dude.

Now you think I've gone off my rocker and I'm a tad crazy.  Somebody save Krista!!  Nah, I'm partially sane.  I'm referring to the amazing sequel to "A Very Potter Musical" ---- which is "A Very Potter Sequel".  Honestly, if you consider yourself a fan of Harry Potter and have a good sense of humor, you will probably enjoy this.  Did I mention Darren Criss (Blaine from Glee) plays Harry Potter, he sings and has incredibly hair?  Yes!!

I love all of the songs and have a tendency to sing them loudly in the shower.  Enjoy!

Have you seen "A Very Potter Musical"?  Are you a fan of Starkid?  I sure am!!

-------

Honestly, I feel like I have so much more free time since I finished my Camp NaNo novel!  I'm not worrying about word count or plot or why my character Jon kept ending up naked.  I wanted to share a little teaser with you - just for fun!

It's one of my favorite moments between Lainey and Jon where she first realizes he isn't human, but she still wants him.  Enjoy!

“Jon,” Lainey mumbled, stepping back into the kitchen.  She moved towards the sink, watching the rain pour down out the small window.  Lainey braced her arms against the rim of the counter.  Her breaths were deep, but uneven.  She heard him enter the kitchen a few minutes later as she tried to brush the tears from her face.  “Sorry.  I’m fine.”

“You’re not fine,” he answered, stepping closer to the counter.  “I can tell you’re not.  I could tell the first time I met you, when you were drowning and had stopped fighting against the current.  I could tell you needed help.”

Lainey slowly turned around.  “Is that why you saved me?”

“Yes.  And you weren’t ready to die.”

“I don’t understand,” she whispered.

“It’s not time for you to understand.  Come on, we owe Rachel a movie afternoon.”  Jon didn’t say anything else as he started to leave the kitchen.

“Are you some kind of angel?” Lainey asked, getting him to turn back around.

Jon laughed once.  “I’m far from an angel, Lainey.  Trust me.”

What did you think?  Have a great Wednesday!

  5. "Umbridge!" (said with curled lip, in the manner of "Noonan!") I WORKED with Umbridge, or someone just like herm, and Shim was AWFUL.

.... which is why book 5 was my favorite. When the Weasely twins took Umbridge down, it was just pure poetry.

And thanks for the musical link. Love it!

  6. Book 5 was my least favorite in the series. Umbridge didn't help. :)
