September Goals

Another month is over and I hope the heat wave we've been though is about done. August was full of 95 degrees with a heat index of 105. Yuk. I'm very much ready for fall - pumpkin lattes, pumpkin candies, Halloween, pumpkin smile cookies, apple orchards, and so much more! Did I mention I love pumpkin and fall? :)

Here are my goals from August:
* Write to 20,000 words on my novel, "The Damned"
My current word count is 22,825. I wrote 14,073 words this month!!

* Read "Friday Night Alibi" by Cassie Mae

* Unpack and settle into my new apartment

I completed all of my goals for the month! I'm settled into my apartment, though I did have to deal with unfinished bathroom for two weeks, no internet for week, and no cable for a week. Everything is settled now and I really like it!

Goals for September:
* Write to 30,00 on my novel, "The Damned"
I introduced Effie's love interest last month and I'm excited for them to fall in love!

* Read "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card
I'm a little behind since I feel like everyone has already read it. But I started it last week and I'm captured!

* Write to 10,000 words on my novel, Twisted
A NA Romance, twist on Snow White. Maybe I'm crazy to be writing two books at the same time, but one book can be a break from another. My current word count is 5,573.

* Participate in the "More Than Just a Kiss Blogfest", hosted by Christine Rains and Cecilia Robert

A few more goals than last month, but I'm excited to get more writing down on both stories! I'm also hoping to hear some news this month, though it could be good or bad. *crosses fingers* How did your goals go last month? What are your goals for September?

  1. Congrats on achieving all your goals, I can't wait for Fall, I love it! I'm getting really excited for it :)
Good luck with your goals this month :)

  2. Impressive! August was a successful month for you :). My September goals are pretty similar: lots of writing.

  3. Good for you for getting so much writing done! It's good to set goals, because then they can help us make definite plans and motivate us to get work done. My goal is to get back to fiction writing this month; I had to set it aside for the last several weeks in order to work on my dissertation. I've missed writing fiction a LOT, so it'll be good to get back to it.

  4. Not everyone has read Ender's Game. Eeek! I haven't read it yet!

  5. I read Ender's Game when I was in middle school, and I remember loving it. Though I know plenty of people who have never read it, so you don't need to feel bad about that!
