October Goals

October is here! And this means my favorite holiday is coming - Halloween! I already have everything decorated and it looks pretty awesome! :) This is my favorite of the decorations --

There's so much more, but I will spare you my excessive love of Halloween. :)

Here are my goals from September:
* Write to 30,00 on my novel, "The Damned"
I wrote 12,387 words this month. And I wrote an incredible kiss scene! :)

* Read "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card

* Write to 10,000 words on my novel, Twisted
I wrote 4,917. But I think I am going to shelve the novel for now. It's not working out. :(

* Participate in the "More Than Just a Kiss Blogfest", hosted by Christine Rains and Cecilia Robert

I achieved all of my goals this month! Yes!! (Possibly because I don't have a job, but I was pretty productive, which is good.)

Goals for October:
* Complete another round of tightening revisions, "Breathless"
Adding more character detail with mother, modify wording, check for repeated words, and fix clarification of Courtney/Mom.

* Write to 50,000 on my novel, "The Damned"
I am hoping to finish the first draft before NaNoWriMo next month. :) I can do it!

Only two goals for this month! I'm hoping to finish some revisions and hopefully, I will have a special announcement on Friday for all of you! How did your goals for September go? What are your goals for October?

  1. I love how you're already organised for Halloween. I love the sign. :)

You're doing really well! Great that you have so many WIPs on the go. I can't do that. I will hope to finish my first round of revisions on my WIP, and I'm leaning more and more towards NaNo - I have an idea now, which makes it more tempting!

  2. Congratulations on completing your goals for last month! I'm excited that it's October too, I love Halloween, I've already entered three different Halloween blog hops!
Good luck with this months goals :)

  3. Good job with your goals! I'm interested in seeing what that special announcement is. I sure hope you meet that goal :)
