November Goals

I've taken down all of my Halloween decorations and it's time to write like mad! Today is the first day of NaNoWriMo and I'm already making some great progress. :) It's time for an update in goals from last month.

Here are my goals from October:
* Complete another round of tightening revisions, "Breathless"

* Write to 50,000 on my novel, "The Damned"

I only finished one out of two goals - but I'm okay with that! I finished writing "The Damned" in time to give me a short break before diving into my NaNo novel.

Goals for November:
* Write to 50,000 words on my NaNoWriMo novel, "Cold to the Touch"
YA Sci-fi Romance, it's my first science fiction novel and I hope it actually works out. I'm already getting some great ideas for the romance aspect!

* See "Ender's Game" in theaters
I read the book and I'm very excited to see it on the big screen!

Here's the blurb of my NaNo novel, "Cold to the Touch":

Luna is just the girl who always wears gloves. She's always cold and dressed in jeans and long sleeves. Whoever bumps into her is left with an icy chill. No one touches her and she refuses all physical contact. Even her best friend, Quinn, knows better than to ask about her glove obsession and the lack of heat from her body.

Bentley is the star of the basketball team, even though he's new to the school. He doesn't date, despite his popularity and is always surrounded by his buddies. In PE class, Bentley is partnered with Luna for bad-mitten and is interested by the secluded girl. But she refuses to give him the time of day.

When their hands touch, Bentley and Luna shove each other back. He is desperate to know what happened, but Luna runs away. Bentley has to find out what happened and he wants to tell his secret. Luna will have to trust him or settle with being alone.

Are you participating in NaNoWriMo? How did your goals from last month go? Good luck to everyone writing this month! You can do it!

  1. Good luck with NaNo! It always impresses me how people can churn out 50K words year after year. Your idea sounds interesting. Dare I say...cool.
