January Goals

Happy New Year everyone! :) I hope everyone celebrated the coming of the new year and enjoyed spending time with friends and family! I had a wonderful birthday yesterday. My best friend took me to see "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" - even though it was my third time. I still loved it! I'm in love with Kili. :) He's so adorable and funny!

Yeah, he's wonderful. :)

Anyway, back to the point of this post! It's time for an update on my goals from last month.

Here are my goals from December:
* See "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug"

* Read "Allegiant" by Veronica Roth

* Finish rereading "The Two Towers" by J.R.R. Tolkien

* Write to 20,000 words on my "Star Trek: 2009" Fanfiction

 I completed 3 out of 4 goals! Not bad! :) It was my goal all year to finish rereading The Two Towers, but working two jobs takes a lot of my free time, but hopefully the baby I'm nanny for 3 days a week will take a few good naps and I can finish it.

Goals for January
* Revise "Breathless"
Continue revising dialogue tags, fix physical details, and change the ending chapter slightly.

* Finish writing "Little Mishaps"

Only two goals, but I would like to make a strong start for the new year and want to take it easy. I also need to start reading again! My goal is to read 40 books this year, which is the same as last year. I did it last year and I'm excited to read more this year! :)

How did your goals from December go? Good luck with your goals for the new year! 2014 is going to be great. :)

  1. Happy New Year! Great work with your goals, and those are reasonable ones for this month. I had a good December with revising one of my novels and getting an excellent start revising my online life.

  2. Happy New Year, Krista! Good luck with meeting your goals!

  3. Reading about your goals always inspires me. Best of luck with your ones for January!

  4. Ugh I love Kili so much - too much, in fact! Congrats on achieving all those goals - I really want to read the Lord of the Rings this year, fingers crossed I'll at least finish the Fellowship of the Ring! :D x

  5. Oh my gosh, that first gif is fantastic!! I still have to see DOS... Part of being a mom, I never get to see movies. Haha :) I still love LOTR though! :)

  6. Happy Birthday, Krista!! I'm glad you had such a great day. Wishing you a wonderful new year and good luck with your goals!!

    Happy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines

  7. Nice job! In all fairness, The Two Towers is a pretty big book. Good luck with your writing and editing this month. And Happy Birthday, too :)

  8. Happy Belated Birthday Krista! I like your 40 books in a year goal. Will have to rob it ;-)
