September Goals

I'm finally settled into my new apartment, with internet, unpacked all my boxes but two, and am able to watch Netflix again! :) I love living by myself. I can chose to wear pants or not when I get home and no one can say "hey, put pants on". It's marvelous. Also, it's almost fall! Fall is my favorite season of the year, complete with everything pumpkin.

First pumpkin spice latte of the season! Yum!
Anyway, it's time for an update in goals!

Here are my goals from August:
* Write to 20,000 words on "Cold to the Touch"
I made it 16,314 words - not my goal, but I did make some great progress with the plot and character development.

* Work on more "Silent Beauty" revisions

* Reread "The Freaks" - look for weaknesses and plot issues

I didn't quite finish all of my goals last month, but I did move and get settled so I call that an accomplishment! I didn't get much reading done this month (well, reading of new books), but I did reread a few books and read a few new ones. The ones in purple are the ones I reread.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
The Mortal Instruments: City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
Death of a Waterfall (Hayden Falls Saga #1) by Kara Leigh Miller
The Real Thing by Cassie Mae
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

September Goals:
* Write to 25,000 words on "Cold to the Touch"

* Finalize idea for evil villain blogfest

* Celebrate Tolkien Week and Hobbit Day!

Those shouldn't be hard goals to achieve! How did your goals for September and how did your goals for August go? :) Have a great Labor day if you are in the states!

  1. I haven't made any goals yet, but it's always good to have a list of goals; there's something really satisfying about crossing things off a to-do list.

  2. Moving is a huge accomplishment so any goal not met, well, heck, you were moving. And yes, living by yourself has a certain peace to it, the ability to say, do or not do whatever you want is refreshing.

  3. Good job with your goals, Krista! My goal for September is to finish the first draft of the YA I'm working on. Fingers crossed! Lol.
