October Goals

October is my favorite month because of my favorite holiday, Halloween! :) And pumpkin everything is here. (If you're looking for my IWSG, keep scrolling down to the previous post.) I had a pretty good September and it's time for an update in goals.

Here are my goals from September:
* Write to 25,000 words on "Cold to the Touch"

* Finalize idea for evil villain blogfest

* Celebrate Tolkien Week and Hobbit Day!

I love him so much... *girly sigh*

Two out of three goals, sounds great to me! I had a busy month and I feel like it's going to keep getting busier, but I'm okay with that! The little girl I nanny turned one-year-old last month and she's learning so many new things. Her new thing right now is hanging upside-down as I tickle her tummy. I've been working really hard on revisions for my novella, "Silent Beauty" and creating it into a full length novel. I've added almost 20,000 words and I'm loving the new directions the novel is taking. There's so much more depth to the characters and I added two way different kiss scenes, that I'm excited about! So, revisions are going super well! I love the story even more now.

I did read three books this month! Not as many as last month, but still good. :) The one in purple is a reread.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Home is Where You Are by Tessa Marie

October Goals:
* Finish new draft of "Silent Beauty" by Oct. 8th
And send to critique partners! I think I can do it. :)

* Work on NaNoWriMo idea

* Celebrate Halloween!!
I'm helping with a Halloween party for kids and planning on watching "Hocus Pocus"! I love Halloween.

What are your October goals? How did you do with your September goals? I have to go decide what I'm going to be for Halloween - I can't decide between a witch or... something else. Not sure. :) What are you going to be for Halloween?

  2. Hi Krista! As an IWSG co-host, I was on my way to read your IWSG post. But Aragorn caught my eye! I so love LOTR, everything Tolkien! And I love the movies too. Several weekends ago I watched all three LOTR movies in a thirty hour period, and now I'm rereading the books for the ?th time! You're so brave to put your goals out there! Kuddos to you, and good luck achieving them!

  4. I love Hocus Pocus. My Beth loves Halloween. Not even Christmas tops it for her (I'm more a Christmas fanatic). Today, I bought her a black cat decoration for hanging on the wall. It's sitting on her pillow for when she gets home. I know I'm going to get a massive hug for it!
    Yay, fellow NaNoWriMo-er! I think I have the beginnings of an idea for it :-D
