May Goals

There are only four more weeks left of school and my preschool job! I'm going to miss my little kiddos, but I will get to see some of them next year since we have three, four, and five year olds. :) I had a very busy March and I'm excited to tell you what's been going on with my goals!

Here are my goals from March:
* Write to 60,000 words on Camp NaNo novel, "Nothing Left to Lose"

* Read "Ilsa and the Happily Ever After" by Stephanie Perkins

I completed both of my goals from last month! Whew! I finished my rewrite of "Nothing Left to Lose" on April 13th. I rewrote a good chunk of the ending due to changing a major plot point and deleting one of the minor characters.

Close. It was the Dad's girlfriend I deleted. :) She wasn't really essential to the plot and had no development of character, so... good-bye character. :) While furiously rewriting my Camp NaNo novel, I did manage to read a few books!

Lonesome Beds and Bumpy Roads (Bed, #3) by Cassie Mae and Theresa Paolo
The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare
Holding On (Holding On, #1) by Rachel Brownell
Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

Overall, it was a very good month. :)

Goals for May:
* Write to 30,000 on new novel, "Just About Average"

* Begin revisions for "Nothing Left to Lose"

* Read "Play On (Game On Book 4)" by Kyra Lennon

I hope your goals from April went well and that you enjoyed doing the A-Z Challenge or Camp NaNoWriMo! I'm crossing my fingers that this will be a great writing month. :) Happy May Day!

  1. It's kind of a relief that the Challenge is over :). And you were so busy doing other things, too! Character cutting, rewrites, all those books. Did you remember to sleep?
