August Goals

It's time for a new month and time for an update in my writing goals! School will be back in session at the end of this month, with it I'll be starting a new job. A full time job. It'll be my first full time job in almost 3 years. I'm excited to be starting. I'll be working one-on-one with a child in an elementary school. I can't wait to start! :)

Here are my goals from July:
* Write 25,000 words on "Summer of Lies"
I only wrote 4,833 words.

* Read three books

One out of two. Meh, not bad. I did have intentions of writing a good chunk of "Summer of Lies", but I didn't get to it. Between work and just watching too much TV, I did a little bit of writing but I took a break after that. I'm okay with taking a little break for writing until I get some inspiration again and past being stuck and thinking everything I write sucks. I've started watching "Doctor Who" and that's taking up an exciting bit of my time! I did do some reading! :)

Has to Be Love by Jolene Perry
How to Love by Katie Cotugno
The Glass Mermaid by Poppy Lawless
The Eye of Minds (The Morality Doctrine #1) by James Dashner
The Rule of Thoughts (The Morality Doctrine #2) by James Dashner

Goals for August:
* Revise first 5 chapters of "Somebody to Love"

* Read "The Summer of Chasing Mermaids" by Sarah Ockler

With my new job starting, I think two goals is probably best! How did your goals from last month go? What are your goals for August?

  1. Congratulations on the new job! And don't worry about the writing goal; you still wrote thousands of words, and that's important. My goal for August is to get through my move to a new state and a new school without screaming in public and/or at other people.
