September Goals and IWSG

My goodness, I feel so behind this month! It's been a crazy month so far and it's only the second day. I'm working my new job full time at the elementary school and still working part time in retail, so it's a bit crazy and I'm averaging 55 hours a week.

Since today is the Insecure Writer's Support Group (created by our Ninja Captain Alex Cavanaugh) meeting, I will say that I'm insecure about my writing at all this month! I'm trying to make a little time for writing, but I'm worried about not having time to write when working 55 hours a week or more. I just need to make a little time to write and follow through! I'm also having trouble finding time to read too. I don't want to fall behind in my goals.

Also, it's time for an update in my goals!

Here are my goals from August:
 * Revise first 5 chapters of "Somebody to Love"

* Read "The Summer of Chasing Mermaids" by Sarah Ockler

Yep, I didn't get to any of my goals last month! Oops!! But I will try again next month. I only read two books and the purple one was a reread!
Summer Confessions by Lynn Vroman
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare

September Goals:
* Write to 30,000 on "Summer of Lies"

* Read 4 books

Here's to hoping that this month is better than last and here's a movie to make laugh a little!

How did your goals from last month go? What are you feeling insecure about this month?

  1. I hope you find that writing time. I haven't made monthly goals in a long time. Perhaps I should to keep myself on schedule.

  2. I know there's something called the #5amwritersclub on Twitter, where writers get up and write at 5 a.m. I'm not sure if that's for a half an hour or an hour? I just see the hashtag out there all the time. Before work might be an option?

  3. You work fifty-five hours a week? Wow. You definitely need to be a time management wizard.
