October Goals

Guys, I missed it! I actually forgot to post about Hobbit Day last month. It's the first year in three years that I've missed it. I did actually celebrate the day with my little sister after I got off work. We watched the final Hobbit film together since she hadn't seen it yet. I also didn't really get any pictures of us either! Oh well, there's next year and hopefully next year we can make a whole day of it.

Also, things have still been pretty crazy between working two jobs. I'm working an average of 55 hours a week. 35 at one job and 20 at the other. I'm hoping to cut back on some hours soon so I have more free time!

It's time for an update in goals!

Here are my goals from September:
* Write to 30,000 on "Summer of Lies"

* Read 4 books

 I didn't get much writing done this month, but I finally did get some reading done! I'm very happy with the reading progress I made. Here are the books I read in September:

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Patterson
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler
The Heir (The Selection, #4) by Keira Cass
The Boyfriend Thief (Stolen Kisses #1) by Shana Norris
The Isle of the Lost (Descendants #1) by Melissa de la Cruz
Firsts by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn
No Interest in Love (All About Love, #2) by Cassie Mae
A Faerie's Secret (Creepy Hollow, #4) by Rachel Morgan

Yes, I read eight books last month! I really enjoyed all of them! Some were NetGalley books that had been sitting on my Kindle for a while and others were ones I've been dying to read! I've found that I have at least thirty minutes a day at my job, along with my lunch break that I can do some reading. I'm hoping that writing will fall in soon too!

October Goals:
* Write to 30,000 on "Summer of Lies"

* Celebrate Halloween, my favorite holiday :)

* Girl's weekend in Minnesota

Hopefully those goals will be simple enough to do! November is creeping up quickly and hopefully things will have settled some at work so I can get more writing done in NaNoWriMo. How did your goals from September go? What are your goals for October?

  1. Your life is busy! And you read 8 books!

    My goals in September? Write, chase after gr-daughters, watch them at Irish Dance competitions, write, quilt...did I say some about gr-daughters?

  2. Wow, you are working a lot! And good for you for reading so many books in one month! And I think it's good to set goals for yourself each month, because that gives you something specific to work for.
