IWSG - Why am I doing this?

Today is a meeting of The Insecure Writer's Support Group, which posts on the first Wednesday of every month and is run by our Ninja Captain Alex Cavanaugh. This is a place where writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds.

To make this post short, since I really haven't been into blogging lately, I've had trouble writing. I haven't written anything in months. I don't feel motivated. I'm still waiting on a full request from the last book I submitted. It's hard to wait after over a year, but I'm being patient. Writing doesn't come first when I'm working two jobs and dealing with some personal stuff, stuff that I need to think about less. Gah! Writing. I haven't even found a story that I want to write in a while. I'm a struggling writer. Yep.

I'm really hoping to get motivated to do NaNoWriMo next month! Hopefully I can! What are you feeling insecure about?

  1. I can understand why you're not writing--two jobs? But waiting over a year for an editor to get back to you and not writing is not good. Many times, editors rejected a project but asked if I had something else. Always be prepared. Good luck to you.

  2. I'm sending my encouragement. Two jobs has got to be a pain, and personal stuff is usually worse. If you're looking for Nano-Buddies, I'm at

  3. Sorry that you are going through a hard time Krista. Hopefully you'll find a way over these hurdles.

  4. I'm feeling a lot like you are - haven't written anything in ages and can't seem to get back to it. I'm sorry you are struggling but I hope you are feeling better soon. Take care!
